Kat Kramer

Kat Kramer is the Founder of Kat Kramer’s Films that Change the World, an international cinema series showcasing motion pictures and documentaries that raise awareness of important social issues. She also established the Hunt for Humanity Award in honor of actor-activist Marsha Hunt, which is given to an actor/filmmaker who uses their voice to fight for human rights, animal advocacy, and environmental justice.

During the series’ 10th Anniversary, she introduced #SHEroesForChange, a mini-film festival and podcast that celebrate female empowerment through film and music, with an additional #SHERO Award. Kat is currently creating the program, New Voices for Change, to present original screenplays and theatrical works exploring various social issues, with an emphasis on global impact, diversity and inclusion. Kat is a founding Board Member of the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival, and serves on the Advisory Boards of the LA Press Club, and the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival.

A former Miss Golden Globe Ambassador, Kat is the daughter of Hollywood actor/producer Karen Sharpe-Kramer and legendary filmmaker Stanley Kramer, known for taking artistic and financial risks by making films on controversial social issues, including Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, and Bless the Beasts & Children. An animal advocate, Kat reimagined its theme song, Bless the Beasts and Children, as an anthem for animal rescue and wildlife protection organizations. She was honored with the Compassion Award from BraveHeart Women.

Kat starred in four one-woman shows, and debut her solo show My Duet with Mick for Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival. She is currently developing a new solo show titled, She’s A Rainbow. She was grateful to open the Pioneer Luncheon honoring her theatrical inspiration, Lily Tomlin.

Kat won awards for her roles on stage as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker and Anne Frank in The Diary of Anne Frank. She starred as Estella in Great Expectations, Joan of Arc in The Lark, and appeared in the ensemble for The Vagina Monologues. Kat also appeared in films such as Going Shopping, What Just Happened, and Little Fockers, and won awards for her roles in several indie films. She created the role of Frances Rye in the web series, Child of the 70’s.

A Rolling Stones aficionado, Kat recorded an album of Mick Jagger cover songs titled, GEMSTONE: Kat Kramer Sings Mick Jagger… and Keith Richards.
